Privacy Policy for Money Jar Effective date: 6th May 2026 Last updated: 6th May 2026 Money Jar (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is created and published by Mariyam Bangee, based in the United Kingdom. This privacy policy explains how the app handles information when you or your child use it. We have written it in plain language because it is intended to be read by parents and carers as well as developers. Money Jar does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you enter into the app stays on your device.

  1. Information we collect We do not collect any personal information. The app does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide any details about yourself or your child. When you use Money Jar, the jars, amounts, goals, and history you create are stored only on the device the app is installed on. None of this information is sent to us, to Apple, or to any third party. We do not collect: • Names, email addresses, or contact details • Location data • Device identifiers used for tracking • Usage analytics or behavioural data • Crash reports • Advertising identifiers
  2. Information stored on your device The app stores the following on your device only, so it can function: • The jars you create and their balances • Pocket money entries and goals you have set • Your in-app settings (such as colour or category choices) This information never leaves your device. If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it. We have no way to recover it, because we never had a copy.
  3. Children’s privacy Money Jar is designed to be used by families, including children. Because the app collects no personal information of any kind, it complies with the UK GDPR provisions concerning children’s data (Article 8) and with the United States Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by default — there is no data to collect, link, or share. Parents and carers are encouraged to supervise younger children’s use of the app, as they would with any digital tool.
  4. Third-party services Money Jar does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or social media services. There are no third-party SDKs in the app that collect data.
  5. In-app purchases and payments The current version of Money Jar is free and contains no in-app purchases. If this changes in a future version, this policy will be updated and any payment processing will be handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s own privacy terms. We would never receive your payment information.
  6. Your rights under UK GDPR Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights over personal data held about you, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Because we do not hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you would like to remove the data the app has stored on your device, you can do so at any time by deleting the app or clearing its data from within iOS Settings. If you have a complaint about how your personal information is handled, you can contact the ICO at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
  7. Changes to this policy If we ever change how the app handles information — for example, if a future version adds an optional feature that uses the internet — we will update this policy and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes will also be highlighted in the app’s release notes on the App Store.
  8. Contact If you have any questions about this privacy policy or about the app, please contact: Mariyam Bangee Email: m.bangee@outlook.com
